SDKs for Augmented Reality and Image Recognition

CraftAR includes several SDKs that empower different use cases for your branded apps.
This page provides links to the product pages and to the corresponding documentation page for each one of the platforms. Check out the exact features included in each SDK in the table below.

Features of the SDKs

The Augmented Reality SDK (AR), the Cloud Image Recognition SDK (Cloud IR), and the On-device Image Recognition SDK (On-device IR) provide the following features.

The Pro SDK has the combined features of all other SDKs.

Bundle Management and Synchronization

In order to run offline, the app needs access to reference images (and AR contents, for AR). This information is stored in Bundles generated in the cloud Content Management System. Those Bundles can be embedded into the app or made ready for download at any time. The SDK is able to open, download, and even synchronize if there are updates comparing the local copy with the remotely stored Bundle.

Automatic download of AR content stored online

Upon recognition, the SDK automatically requests the necessary assets from the CraftAR service. Those assets are the Tracking data and the AR content.

AR content description parser

Processes the information stored in the JSON of the AR content. The parser can load the AR content automatically into the AR view, and display them when the item’s reference image is tracked correctly.
