When you upload an image to the service, you select the specific Collection (group of images) that image belongs to. At the time of recognition, your app searches only inside one specific Collection.
This allows you to have multiple apps within the same account: each pointing to a different Collection, and therefore each with separate analytics, management and secure content separation.
What does the number of Images included in your plan refer to?
Each Item in your Collections contains one or more reference images, representing the target objects for your Image Recognition experiences.
The number of Images (Image quota) defined in your specific plan refers to the total number of reference images you can upload to the service.
What is a Visual Scan?
An attempt to scan any object, regardless of the result. A Cloud Visual Scan is a request sent from your app to Catchoom’s Cloud Service to recognize an object. An On-Device Visual Scan is performed by the On-Device Image Recognition SDK, which has no scan limits.
Single Shot scanning mode each user sends only one request each time, while Finder Mode’s continuous scanning sends about 2 requests (2 images) per second until there is a match, which are counted towards the cloud scan quota.
