Catchoom Among the 2019 Top Fashion Tech Start-Ups in the AI Field

Very recently, Loomish SA announced that Catchoom is among the 12 finalists of the Fashion Innovation Award 2019. The selected 12 leading mature fashion tech start-ups apply Artificial Intelligence in different ways to enhance several areas of the fashion value chain.

Next week, on April 2nd, Catchoom’s CEO and co-founder, David Marimon, will fly to Lugano in Switzerland to pitch our innovative solutions to a high-profile jury panel comprised of decision makers from Fashion brands, AI experts and investors.

Helping online fashion retailers optimize their product data and reducing time-to-market, we at Catchoom use Computer Vision and AI to analyse the images retailers upload to their eCommerce platforms or Product Information Management Systems and automatically categorize the items and generate product data in the form of attributes.

This reduces manual effort and centralizes product data in a single interface, increasing consistency and efficiency. The improvement in product data translates into better SEO and makes it easier to enable product filters, facilitating online and site searches within retailers’ fashion catalogs.

The Competition

This year’s Fashion Innovation Award attracted around 100 international mature AI FashionTech start-ups. The jury panel had a difficult job to select the 12 finalists who come from Switzerland, different EU countries and Silicon Valley. By founding and running this Award, Loomish strives to provide a platform for investors, start-ups and institutions alike to collaborate and shape the future of the Fashion industry.
